Veronica Krim (she/they)
Therapy Intern
Veronica is a graduate student at Western Oregon University pursuing a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counselling with a focus on mental health. Originally from New York and with an engineering background, she has always gravitated to the teaching, coaching, and mentorship parts of working in STEM. She spent the last decade working in academia then the corporate world and knows firsthand the unique stressors current generations are facing in building their futures. She has personally benefited from various forms of mental health therapy and wants to demystify and humanize the process for her clients as much as possible.
Veronica’s approach to counseling is rooted in intersectional feminism, client-
centered and strengths-based perspectives, anti-racism, and queer joy. Her work pulls from trauma-informed care, somatic experiences, and systemic theories. She is passionate about working with her fellow queer, gender diverse, racially diverse, and neurodivergent communities. She believes living well is the work that we must do to heal ourselves and the world around us, and she is honored to help you in whatever stage of your journey you’re in.
In her free time, Veronica is likely gardening and playing in the dirt somewhere,
badly serenading her 3 fur babies, or identifying foraged plants even though her friends did not ask her to. She loves the ocean, making any form of art, and trying new vegan-ish recipes with her amazing partner.
