Melina Gold, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (she/they)

Therapist

Melina has dedicated much of her life to being a healing presence in a variety of settings including through community mental health care, outpatient clinical centers, and youth development programs. She holds a master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Cal Poly Humboldt. She strives to guide those she works with toward finding empowerment through self-compassion, healing their interpersonal relationships, reimagining what it means to live in community, and rebuilding a relationship with the Earth.

Melina is passionate about working with teens, adults, and relationship configurations of all kinds who are seeking affirming care. Issues they focus on include anxiety, depression, relational issues, and trauma tied to systemic oppression. They utilize modalities such as Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems while weaving in aspects of attachment theory, ecotherapy, liberation psychology, and somatic practices. Their sessions are a nurturing and nonjudgmental environment for people of all races, genders, sexualities, abilities, religious backgrounds, and relationship styles.

Melina believes in the healing power of play and loves to go frolicking in the woods or on the beach, foraging for mushrooms, singing, playing guitar, hoop dancing, climbing, and learning about the world through travel.
