Kristin Wanlin, LMFT, (she/her)
Therapist
Kristin is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over a decade of experience in the field. While Kristin has specialized training in treating eating disorders, she also sees adults with a variety of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, burnout, self esteem, body image, and identity exploration.
She works with her clients collaboratively, tailoring her approach to each individual’s unique communication style, needs, preferences, and strengths. With an attunement toward self-compassion, she helps her clients to gently and gradually challenge beliefs and behaviors which no longer serve them and to move toward more effective coping and communication skills.
Kristin’s therapeutic style is warm, direct, and collaborative while utilizing principles and techniques from a variety of modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, and solution-focused therapy. Working to understand each individual in their broader systemic context, Kristin strives to help clients with a wide range of identities and backgrounds feel seen, heard, and understood. Kristin feels passionate about empowering her clients to find and utilize the strength they already have inside of themselves to heal and thrive.
Outside of the therapy office, Kristin spends her time playing with her two children, enjoying time outdoors, listening to podcasts, and trying out new arts & crafts techniques.
